Roger Maki recently marked his 40th anniversary as a realtor and has no plans of giving up any time soon, according to the Pine Journal. He told the news provider that he is only just hitting his stride, and plans to continue in the profession.

Maki's father was in construction and had a tendency to sell all the homes he would build for his family, resulting in many moves throughout his childhood. Because of this, he picked up tips from what he saw from his father and decided to give the career a try.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, depending on commission, realtors have the potential to earn up to $100,000 in annual salary.
