In a tight job market, one of the more desirable jobs in the business industry is a career in finance. Generally, financial jobs pay more than small businesses or nonprofit organizations, which is why these jobs receive interest from so many potential applicants.

A new survey found that these positions are so sought-after, that potential employees are willing to take a pay cut if it still means being offered a position.

Onewire.com conducted a survey asked job seekers in the financial industry what their thoughts were about career opportunities. The results indicated that 79% of career hopefuls reported they were experiencing a longer-than-anticipated search.

This could be why 57% responded that they would be willing to take a salary less than their last position and 40% were just looking for a job that somehow related to the field.

While career hopefuls may be willing to take a pay cut, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that salaries in the financial industry can range upwards from $60,000 annually.ADNFCR-1502-ID-19522014-ADNFCR
