Careers in Accounting Prompted by Family
Those who choose to become accountants are often organized individuals who enjoy keeping track of files, funds and spending. In fact, many who enter the field display an interest in and proclivity for figures, whether they tabulate expenditures or calculate losses. Accountants help keep track of some of America's most important portfolios and may even help the government continue to run smoothly.

On the other hand, some people choose to become accountants because the profession was introduced to them through their family. For example, one small Certified Public Accounting firm was established by a father-son team who found that the economic downturn was proving to make their career paths to be difficult.

The Fort Meyer's outlet news-press.com recently reported on Tom and Mike Briers who formed BriersCPA and wanted control over their companies and to work in the US, as both operated overseas.

" We love what we do," the younger Briers told the news provider. "How great is it that we get to work together in such a wonderful place?"

Recent figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics reveal that employment in the accounting field should grow by 18% through 2016.
