At the age of 12 years old I formed my first band, The Remnant. It consisted of five band members and stayed together until I left for college. We recorded 2 albums, the last one with an award winning producer in Nashville. We played shows with Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Grits, Jeremy Camp and many more. I took vocal lessons in Nashville and worked with producers and writers to enhance my knowledge of the music business. I handled the booking and marketing for our group as well as scheduling rehearsals. During the years of The Remnant I gleamed a wealth of knowledge in not only performing but what it takes to keep a group together.
During college I interned under the worship arts department at Family Christian Center. FCC is the 24th largest church in the nation in the Chicago land area with a growing congregation of over 25,000 members. Within a few weeks I was asked to be apart of the music team. Within a month I became one of the main worship leaders, along with a 500 voice choir, for 4 services on Sunday and 2 on Wednesday night. While leading worship I was on local and national television weekly and did many promo videos for the church.
I was the personal assistant to the Worship Pastor for 2 years during college. My jobs included: scheduling all musicians and singers for each service, providing music sheets for all musicians, planning creative meetings, attending all production rehearsals, planning services, and much more. I was also in charge of the iSing program, a program who's purpose served to recruit new choir members. I also taught two six week summer vocal workshops to train entry level singers.
I also participated in two very large broadway style productions, Scrooge the Musical and Yellow Brick Road. These shows, along with many other productions they put on, are the number one tourists attractions in the area. I was cast in the lead role as Dorothy in Yellow Brick Road, and played the main female talking and singing role in Scrooge.
After graduating College I was asked to join the staff of Family Christian Center as one of their musical directors, but my heart was to come back and help my community. I have a very strong vision for the arts in Muhlenberg County and believe that we as a community are capable of anything. I would be honored to be able to help our community grow in the field of the arts. I now serve as worship and youth pastor at Living Word Church. I run a music team of 20 talented singers and musicians and have grown our youth group from 20 to 80+ in a short amount of time.
While leading the iSing campaign, I along with my team, recruited 300+ new choir members. This was an accomplishment that exceeded any previous team.
I presently lead a group of 20+ singers and musicians as worship Pastor. My responsibility is to teach them and advance their gifts. I lead a weekly rehearsal.
I'm the youth pastor to around 80+ teenagers. I have a weekly youth service and community youth services quarterly.
I served very closely under the worship pastor of Family Christian Center, the 24th largest church in the nation. I heavily participated in leading the 500 voice choir, the orchestra, and band.
I graduated high school a year early with a college preparatory Honors of Study Diploma.
