Great Communication Skills
I have been working for Bricktown Brewery as a waitress for over a year. This job requires patience, excellent customer service, quick thinking and problem solving, sales, phone skills, quick learning skills and as surprising as it sounds, we practice plenty of math. We have to maintain accuracy while handing our tables and giving back payments/change. As a Brewery, we are encouraged to make sales. This comes from the salesman from within you, explaining drinks, beers and food to best knowledge we have. You will quickly learn that is not about is the beer is known as "sour or strong", its about explaining if the beer has a hoppy taste with a delightful sweet after taste that has a zing. We are responsible for confirming our customers ages fo alcohol service, and monitoring all of our guests drinks and how many has been served. We do not want to send anyone out of our restaurant not safe severely intoxicated. In cases that have been managed and monitored, we care for our guests and make it our responsibly to make sure our guests make it home safely. We learn how to address concern or complaints quickly to improve service. If you are a Bricktown Brewery server, we are held accountable for our actions in the building and as a public appearance. Bricktown takes pride in their employee's and we are held to high standards for the company. I appreciate Bricktown because they truly believe in all of us and want to watch us grow and become more and greater things in our life and reach our goals. Bricktown Brewery analyzes each and every resume submitted and have at least two interviews before they hire. I am very thankful for my time spent working for this company and have nothing but great things to say about Bricktown Brewery.
I've worked for Eddy Gibbs at the Shangri-La over the last 5 years. I started at the age of seventeen at the Summit restaurant. In the time that I've worked for Shangri_La, I started as a busser, turn-house, beverage cart, waitress, banquet, bartender and I just started at the front desk three months ago. I do three days at week at the front desk and three in the restaurant. I have learned a lot from working at the Resort, daily tasks are very important. You are held accountable for your daily responsibilities and making sure that you daily tasks are completed before your shift is over. I have experience with a resort POS system. We use Resort Suite at the Shangri-La for all of the transactions and reports that we do daily.
I worked for the Cherokee Casino for three months and worked very hard for my tribe and knew it was an honor to work for the Cherokee Tribe. I was offered a hiring paying job and have two weeks notice to the Casino and they congratulated me and offered me the best wishes when I left.
My daily job responsibilities would start off by picking up the mail at the post office and handing out all of the mail to the employees to whom they belonged too. I was in charge of maintaining the front desk and answering phone calls from title companies. CIA Services is an Home Owner's Asociation that manages thousands of commuintes in Texas. I was in charge of scanning checks and processing them, changing the information in the system, invoices, deposits and great customer service. For instance, when a homeowner would buy a home in one of the communities that we managed, the title company they used would send me all of the closing documents (settlement statement, warranty deed, etc) and the title company would collect all of the funds that were required for that community at the time of move in. I was required to look over the deed or settlement fully and enter the information on either of the documents into our system and deposit the checks, scan the closing documents, invoice (if needed) and scan all of the checks to the bank by 4:30. This job required a lot of patience, time management, efficiency, organization and focus to complete all of my daily duties by 6 pm.
