I have had leadership experience on many different levels. I have lead teams and programs which include administration and planning experience as well as leading teams on international humanitarian trips. Through these experiences I gained many skills such as team building and on the spot problem solving. I am passionate about seeing people reach their potential and succeed as they are equipped and believed in. I am also eager to see teams focus on serving each other, which begins with the leader taking on a role of a servant.
As a volunteer coordinator for Mision Mexico, I worked closely with the directors to help program the everyday life of the children in the refuge. With over 50 children, it was very important to be consistent with the routine and guidelines that were in place. It was my position to train and educate the new volunteers on all the procedures of the refuge, as well as equip them with tools to learn everything as quickly as possible.
I was on the leadership team for Surfing the Nations, which means I helped to oversee all the various programs the organization ran. I also had a part in the brainstorming and decision making process for areas that would affected the entire program. Here were some of my specific responsibilities throughout my years there:
