Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA)

- Helped organize kid activities for Halloween Fair hosted by Mission Regional Hospital.
- Volunteered in the Feast of Sharing, H-E-B's annual fight hunger
events during the Thanksgiving season. - Volunteered as a concession stand attendee during high school football games to raise funds for HOSA
- Donated candy for our high school's annual Trunk-or-Treat halloween event.
- Donated Hershey's kisses chocolates for HOSA's annual Valentine's fundraiser.
- Participated in HOSA Area 7 Competition as a member of the Parliamentary Procedure team. Champions in Area meet, advancing to State competition.
- As a member of the Parliamentary Procedure team, I learned the proper rules and ways in which to run an effective and proficient meeting.
Sharyland High School Varsity Tennis Team
(10 hrs/week, 36 weeks/year) 2014-2017
- Played singles my freshman year
as part of the Sharyland High School's Freshman team, bringing home the district championship trophy. - Played doubles the first semester of my sophomore year as part of the Junior Varsity team, bringing home the district championship trophy.
- Promoted to Varsity the second semester of my sophomore year, awarded with the New Comer of the Year Award.
- Played singles my junior year as a member of the Varsity Tennis team, bringing home the 3rd place 5A regional trophy.
- Recognized by Sharyland ISD school board as member of the Varsity team.
- Dedicated over 10 hours a week of after school practice, as well as weekends to participate in tennis tournaments in representation of my school.
- Learned the importance of team work, communication, and time management.
Rattlers Guiding Rattlers Program
(12 hrs/week, 2 weeks/year) 2016-2018
- One of 12 high school students selected as a member of a team dedicated to developing and preparing presentations intended to mentor younger students.
- Volunteered after school time to create skits, games, and interactive activities for student presentations.
- Visited sister elementary and junior high schools to interact with and mentor students on the dangers of at-risk behaviors, and on learning how to say no.
- Took upon this leadership role in order to be a role model for those younger students in the future by leading by example.
Clinical Rotations Program
(4 hrs/week, 36 weeks/year) 2016-2017
- Volunteered in the American Heart Association's annual Blood Drive event.
- Became Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) certified.
- Completed a 10 hour course in order to become Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified.
- Completed an 8 hour training in order to become First Aid, CPR and AED certified.
- Followed the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) curriculum, therefore became familiar with ethical patient treatment and clinical procedures.
- Learned how to perform Venipuncture procedures on special mannequins, manual blood pressure readings, electrocardiograms, and how to effectively read and record patient vital signs.
- Completed Hospital Rotations in the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, TX.
National Honors Society
(2 hrs/week, 10 weeks/year)

- Nominated and selected to be a member in representation of my high school's honor society.
- Pledged to be a leader and role model for my school as well as for my community through an induction ceremony.
- Worked with teachers in order to help them tutor students struggling in subjects such as math, reading, and science at both high school and junior high levels.
- Volunteered and helped in school-held UIL competition and events.
Pharmacy Technician Program
(5 hrs/week, 20 weeks/year) 2017-2018
- Selected after applying to be a member of the Sharyland High School Pharmacy Technician Program.
- Learned how to count, compound, and administer medications.
- Learned brand, generic, and indications of use for over 200+ medications.
- Learned how to perform glucose screenings.
- Completed a one-year course and passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.
ECyD International Catholic Organization
(2 hrs/week, 36 weeks/year) 2015-2018
- Served as an officer for the organization, leading a class of 7th grade girls for 3 years (until their 9th grade year in high school) in order to guide them and mentor them through their adolescence.
- Became a leader and role model for these girls in order to lead them in practicing their Catholic faith and human values in the modern world.
- Organized Catholic spiritual 3-Day retreats for 8th and 9th graders.
- Volunteered at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church immigrant assistance center, providing direct help to migrants in desperate need.
- Participated in the Teleton USA Foundation annual fundraiser to raise funds for children with disabilities.
- Organized car washes to raise money for the Teleton USA foundation.
- Gathered toys during the Christmas season for children in an orphanage in Mexico.
- Collected food money, and clothing to help the families who suffered from the hurricane disasters in Mexico and Houston, TX.
- Attended Catholic Missions, visited the less fortunate areas in my community to pray and talk with families in need.
RGV Elite Tennis Academy

- Participated in tennis tournaments as a member of United States Tennis Association (USTA).
