Has provided great experience with a variety of Zoo animal species. Focus was more specified toward Great Apes assisting with keeper duties regarding animal care. Exposure to Veterinary Hospital on site of Zoo as well as some procedures.
Job was necessary to assist with college tuition and housing fees. Provided a high-stress environment in which skills pertaining to stress-relief, communication, team-building, problem solving, customer satisfaction, efficient management of time, multitasking, as well as many others were greatly increased and above satisfactory.
Job description included assisting and supervising of individuals with autism at job site locations.
Hospital focused on small animal care, however, exposure to exotic care occurred as well. Employment began as receptionist. Due to increased interest in Veterinary medicine, expansion of job title to Veterinary Assistant occurred within 3 months of started employment. By end of employment, position was further expanded to head technician.
AVMA accredited facility with excellent curriculum and instructors covering all desired subjects in which a Veterinary Technician would rely and expand upon for success.
