Participated in scoring training in San Antonio, TX for the Teacher Preparation Assessment designed by Standford University. Became a consultant and scoring supervisor for edTPA visual arts intermittently during this time. Worked with Standford to develop the VA test model and manual language. Most of this work was done electronically. Two training sessions took place in San Antonio,Texas.
Managed course loads, hired instructors, maintained revisions on (8-10) courses an an annual basis, Also taught in the program 2006-2007 plus designed a new course in 2008 which Inspired students to translate their coursework directly into their classrooms through practical integrative techniques. The courses in the program were taught entirely online and the course management system (D2L and Blackboard) had to be regularly modified.
Designed syllabi & curriculum to teach all art methods and special methods courses in day, WEC, undergraduate and graduate programs. Also taught other courses within the education department. Supervised student teachers and advised all visual art education students. Taught art methods courses at Augsburg College. Attended department meetings and actively participated on committees within the education department and the visual art department. Participated in campus-wide committees and chaired the Faculty Resource Committee and Course Management Selection Committee in 2010-2011.
Designed the curriculum and taught at all (K-12) levels for 22 years. Also taught art methods at St. Olaf College (1994-1999)
Following graduation, taught grade 5 in Pine River, MN, Secondary Art in Columbia Heights, MN, and K-12 Visual Art Education in the Anoka-Hennepin District. All from 1970-1977.
