As Vice President of Construction, I was responsible for all construction operations in Canada on behalf of Ames. This includes all equipment and personnel management to align with corporate policies and procedures. I was also engaged in all aspect of project management and support.Maintaining an emphasis on safety as Ames' priority. I was involved in project pursuit,procurement, business development, assigning project staff and equipment resources , tracking project cost and revenue and monitoring schedules. I also trained and supported staff members providing, technical expertise along with problem solving and issue resolution in alignment with company policies and programs. I feel that I am an effective communicator and experienced at facilitating positive project results. I Started with Ames in 2002 as a regional construction manager in the Midwest Region Burnsville, MN and transferred to the Rocky Mountain Region in Denver, CO in 2010 . In 2014 I became Vice President of Construction Operations for Ames in Canada head quartered in Calgary, Alberta.
Having grown up in a family owned construction company I gained valuable experience and intimate knowledge of project execution and efforts required at various levels within the construction industry. I started as a laborer and worked my way to be a foreman. Learning about equipment capabilities and maintenance.
