  • Lead maintenance staff and directed all maintenance activities to support plant facility, offices, asphalt stillyard, blending facility, 2 production lines, cooling pond and all supporting equipment.
  • Provided 24 hour maintenance support for 2 roofing production lines operating between 200 and 500 feet per minute.
  • Supported all production processing equipment to include fiberglass mat unwind stands, drive units, asphalt vats, granule applicators and shakers, cooling water baths, press rollers, paint processing equipment, final accumulators and automated roll winders, pallet loaders, label applicators, roll stacking and finish product packaging equipment.
  • Stillyard support for 4 hot oil traced asphalt silos, jacketed piping, offloading and transfer pumps.
  • Blending maintenance support for 8 - 5000 gal hot oil traced asphalt blending mix tanks and 2 - 12,500 gal hot oil traced holding tanks, 4" - 8" hot oil jacketed support piping, 1 - 8" blending asphalt cutting Seifer pump, 10 - 6" Viking asphalt transfer pumps, 1 granule silo with air transporting system, 1 talc silo, and maintained compliance inspections for 6 overhead hoists.
  • Maintained routine maintenance and operation for 2 Fulton 400,000 BTU hot oil boilers supporting 12 Travianni hot oil pumps, 3 plant air compressors, a 2 ton water chiller, 1200 gal heat exchanger, 1 - Regen Thermal Oxidizer (RTO), 1 - Natural gas burning Oxidizer and a water cooling pond.
  • Oversaw plant maintenance storeroom with spares inventory valued at approx. 350K.
  • Leadership Abilities, Skills, and Work Activities Led maintenance staff personnel towards a proactive creative team that challenged their thinking to address root causes to equipment problems and encouraged finding solutions to better the existing equipment or build more reliable equipment to support increasing production goals.
  • Created think tanks with production operators and maintenance personnel to discuss enhancements to equipment for operators as well as training operators on the capabilities of their equipment and correcting operator equipment errors due to lack of knowledge.

  • Accustomed to the use of plasma cutters, welders, power cutting tools, drills, measuring devices, dye penetrant examination, vibration analysis, thermal heat imaging and more.
  • Knowledgeable about metric and standard drives, gearboxes, motors, pumps, shafting, sprockets, chains, drive belts, conveyors, rollers, bearings, and piping.
  • Familiar with heaters, fans, air conditioning systems, lighting, piping installation with and without hot oil jacketed or trace equipment, cameras and recording systems.
  • Extensive maintenance knowledge with over 20 years' of mechanical experience while serving on active duty in the United States Air Force. Master Technician qualified on the Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird", Lockheed TR-1/U-2R "Dragon Lady", Boeing KC-135 "Stratotanker", and Northrop T-38 "Talon" Trainer jet.
  • Final 10 years of active duty were on special duty assignments with the final 4 years culminating by standing up the new Northrop/Grumman B-2 Stealth Bomber Training Facility and preparing hundreds of maintenance and support personnel for the initial delivery of the first block of operational B-2's to the U.S. Air Force in1993 then thru 1997.
