My professional background is public safety and firefighting but I have decided that I want to learn new things, and not do firefighting as a career but rather volunteer and give back to the community.

My responsibilities as a truck driver are to find out where product is needed through out the different stores in the surrounding areas. I am responsible for loading and unloading my truck with use of a pallet jack and or a two wheel dolly. Often we have product that comes back to the warehouse and i am responsible for organizing it into the proper place until it is needed next.
As an Assistant manager I play the most important roll of the crew. Most times the general manager is not working unless needed and it is the assistants job to keep business in order. I am responsible for checking the drivers in every shift and giving them a bank so that they have money for when they make a delivery. I also check that they are wearing the proper uniform and make sure that they are clean shaved and look the part. This is important because when they leave the store they are representing the company. I also assist with the inside crew with taking orders and making the product. Customer service is key, if the customer is not happy, then we're not happy.
At Back Creek Fire Department I have many different rolls. On the "Fire side" I am the 1st Lieutenant which is second in command at our department. I am responsible for checking off the apparatus at the beginning of each shift and make sure they are working properly. I am also responsible for setting up the run order and the different positions for the rest of the crew each shift. Most every shift I am the driver/operator of the truck. It is my responsibility if we get a call to get us there safely, and set the truck to be ready to pump water. I am also responsible for setting up monthly trainings for our department. On the business side I am the President of the company. It is my job to take in donations and document them into our system so that I can give the money to our accountant. I also set up interviews for the Chief with new recruitment to the fire service. It is my job to set up "PR" events such as an open house or some kind of special dinner.
As a Service Adviser it was my responsibility to interact with the customers. I would listen to their problems, and enter the information into my computer. Afterwards I would go and inspect their truck, write information down and then pull the vehicle around to the back of the building for the shop. Once that was complete I would add more information to their work orders and when it was complete take it to the shop foreman.
I went to Hidden Valley High School and would have graduated in 2010 but had to drop out due to family issues (Will explain in interview) Last year I went through the Roanoke Valley GED services and completed my GED.
