Receptionist who answers a high volume of incoming calls while handling in-person inquiries from clients and colleagues. Flexible and hardworking with the drive to succeed. I'm adept at managing multiple projects with ease using expert time management methods.
I was in charge of collections of shortages and nonpayment on accounts at Auto Services Company. The account total was $10,000 in debt when I took that account over. Within a few months I had reduced that total to $0 and continued to keep it there.
I decided to go to truck driving school to see if I could accomplish that, as I had wanted to do it since I was young. My kids were grown, so I thought why not. I passed my tests and drove a semi-truck for 2 years. If I set my mind to do something, I accomplish it.
After 2 years on the road, I decided to sell my truck and come home. I missed my children and grandchildren.
I did well enough as a company driver to purchase a new truck and become an owner operator.
I ran the office, answered phones, booked loads for drivers, took care of accounting and pay.
I was paid on commission as well as hourly. I called people who had outstanding debts turned over to collections. I set up payment plans and tried to keep outstanding debts from being turned over to the credit bureau and the legal department.
Collections, front office phones, accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry.
