Check work using various precision measuring instruments including but not limited to CMM, Complete work from start to finish through all types of operations (mill > lathe > heat treat > grind > lathe > 3d mill > CMM) Perform special operations for most dies such as high polish low micro roughness to accept TD coatings.
Take Blueprint associated to work to perform and prepare machine and program for operation Edit or write programs for work depending on if its new job or altered.Cutting steel rails from 56 inch in length up to 45 feet, various stages of cutting used in work for Switch Point Cuts range from 25deg. ,flare, 18 deg. ,12 deg., layup 1 deg., knife, radius cuts, 14.5 diameter tool undercuts/nose radius on switch point rails. Cutting of Tie plates, face mill, plunge mill, and engraving mill operations, plus various drill/bore operations. Reworked various programs that were being used to increase turnout by 20-30%, and saving on insert life by the same Working to provide CSX, Washington Metro, Norfolk Southern, and others with switch points, frog points, and etc.

Drill and turn, soft , hard, heavy duty pinions and side gear parts for rear gear assemblies on light to heavy commercial vehicles. Clean parts on shot blast machines, spin blast, shot peen. Forge various parts from bevel pinion to drop spindle on various types of press. Load and unload trucks and determine where product was going to apply proper shipping procedures. Inspect parts for defects and determine if they could be reprocessed.
