I have over 17 years of experience in drilling. I have vast experience in supervision in many different drilling techniques. I have worked on projects both underground and surface involving geologic exploration, resource characterization, resource production, and water transfer using underbalanced drilling techniques in difficult conditions. I am proficient at operating and maintaining drilling equipment, down-hole tooling, bore hole surveying with multiple types of survey equipment, continuous coring, including directional, auger and rotary drilling equipment in coal, hard rock, and oil and gas. I am proficient at client interaction and help them to reach goals they have set. I believe in behavioral safety based systems and the commitment to work safe or not at all.
Oversight of multiple projects:
Creative Problem Solving:
As a technical specialist I used my broad experience base to help many projects with technical issues. I am available to provide any technical assistance to mitigate any issues that may arise at any project in the company.
Some examples of projects that I have worked with:
As the U.S. Operations Manager I had oversight of three projects. Mayflower, Henderson, and Shafter.
My duties as a Project Supervisor were as follows:
As a Driller/ Foreman I worked at two different projects. Pogo Mine I worked with the supervisor to better understand how Connors manages their projects. Greens Creek mine I worked with the project supervisor to better understand how that particular project ran. In March I went back to Greens Creek and relieved the supervisor for two weeks. The client put in a request to have me run the project.
As a directional driller I worked on directional projects both surface and underground involving geologic exploration, resource characterization, resource production and water transfer using underbalanced drilling techniques in difficult conditions. Drilling many long in-seam boreholes in mainly coal mines to better identify thickness of coal and identify old works. Many of these holes had additional holes of the main trunk line and it was common to have tens of thousands of feet of drilling in one hole. Worked all over the country and outside the country for this company.
I was a drilling superintendent for the Osage Fossil Energy Project which involved supervising 18 directional drillers, 4 mud plant operators, and oversee quality mud practice. Over sight of of the operation of four drills including two Fletcher drills, a modified CS-1000, and a Hagby 1000-3 with a 1500 head on it, and DGS and DDM MECCA borehole survey equipment. I was responsible for training crews, planning of drill sites, borehole steering to planned trajectories, including tangential boreholes, borehole tracking and monitoring, and management of drilling performance in a combustible underground mine environment.
In Greybull Wyoming I worked as a Directional Driller and targeted long boreholes into production zones for gravity drainage at this fossil energy project. I operated four different drills, DGS and DDM MECCA borehole survey systems with downhole directional equipment for geologic exploration and production purposes. I was responsible for operation of drilling, troubleshooting, maintenance, borehole steering, and control and monitoring.
As a driller for Stillwater operating Hagby 1000's and 1500's for the purpose of definition drilling, geotechnical drilling, and the development of utility boreholes.
