I grew a brand new Bank branch gathering new deposits, which also grew our loan base. I helped design the new branch building to include a coffee/break area that would include our customers to come in and relax in a comfortable atmosphere.
As a Credit Union President, I cut significant expenses to improve the bottom line.
After 8 months as a "SME" (subject matter expert), where I traveled to California to train new employees in Loan Modification audit, I was promoted to team lead in Loan Modification Underwriting. I supervised 13 individuals in Loan Underwriting, where they underwrote FHA, FNMA and FHLMC and SFO (serviced for others) loans, each of which had their own underwriting guidelines.
Led a team of 13 people to make sure they met or exceeded their goals in Mortgage Loan Modification. Each team member was required to master the guidelines in FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and SFO loans. I often utilized their expertise to assist others on both my team and other teams so that we could all be proficient in our duties.

I contacted, and assisted, Credit Unions in Ft. Worth, San Angelo, Abilene, Midland & Odessa and area and El Paso (83 Credit Unions in all). I would present programs, assist with ways to support and grow the bottom line and support each office with all the information the Texas Credit Union League had to offer.
I started out with First Capital as a Mortgage Loan Officer, then moved to the main Corpus Branch as a Consumer/Commercial Loan Officer. After a couple of years, I was asked to take over the Prosperity Bank branch (Prosperity purchased First Capital Bank) in Portland, Texas, where I managed the full operation of the branch, as well as 7 personnel. We created many new customers in the Branch, which also grew the loan portfolio. I also analyzed applicants' financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loans. As part of my normal duties, I executed the loan origination process, including ordering credit reports, appraisals, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, environmental reports, insurance information and flood certificates.
I called on all Coldwell Banker, ERA and Century 21 Real Estate offices, to encourage, train and assist in mortgage loans on the properties that were sold by the respective companies. I called on all agencies from Corpus Christi to the Rio Grande Valley. My territory was merged with San Antonio.
I managed the operations of the National Assignment Center where lenders from all over the Country would call in repossession assignments. I led a team of 19 individuals that would take a call and then take "control" of the repossession process with daily updates to the customer. During my tenure, we increase assignments to over 400 per month.
