I was a fifth grade teacher for three years and sixth grade teacher for two years. I worked with middle school at-risk students in an alternative setting for four years and am currently running the Transition Center that accommodates at-risk students grades six through twelve. All of the afore mentioned assignments have been in the TFSD.
Transitioned ten at-risk, potential academic failure/dropout students from the TC Program to MVHS, TFHS, or CRHS. Two successful graduating students.
In charge of all IDLA and PLATO for at risk population. Daily lesson planning for Why Try, TRIBES, and Teaching tolerance. Member of the Social and Professional Leave Committee, as well as, the BAT Team.
At this time we got a principal and my only title was Language Arts Teacher. I also did a SS and PE elective. I was in charge of the Social Committee and a part of the district Public Relations Committee and Behavior Action Team.
Helped create alternative middle school program. My title was language arts and social studies teacher but I wore several hats during this time. . . . I was head teacher, PE teacher, lunch server, and principal (in action only).
