Throughout my tenure at Warsaw I have been involved with the development and implementation of IEPs and behavior plans for students preschool aged through high school.
I have been actively involved in Professional Learning Communities within the math department. I have played an integral part in the development of the co-teaching style that is currently being used.
I have developed and facilitated curricula for three classes: social skills, developmental math, and a general education course similar to Introduction to Exceptional Learners.
I have been the supervisor and evaluator of five paraprofessionals at differing times. As well as supervising student teachers from St. Francis University and Grace College.
As department head I was responsible for: the assignment of special education teachers (and paraprofessionals) to general education classrooms; scheduling students and teachers for high stakes testing; and the development of a handbook that highlighted the various special education programs.
I have had the responsibility of training crisis prevention (the use of CPI) to staff throughout five school corporations. I was also responsible for training paraprofessionals for the Parapro test.

Completed 18 month program with a 4.0 grade point average (on a 4 point scale).
Developed action research project for my area of teaching based on study skills for students with special needs.
Participated in many group projects - front runner to the collaboration now completed in Professional Learning Communities.
Earned Dean of Students Award for grade point average.
Participated in student Council for Exceptional Children.
Studied two years of Romanian.
Initiated into Delta Zeta sorority.
