I am a retired teacher with 31 years of teaching grades 6 through 8 in which I employed a broad range of instructional techniques to retain student interest and maximize individual learning. I have excellent communication and organization skills. I used effective and efficient methods of teaching while focusing on the individual needs of each student. This was shown to be true both in my daily interactions with my students and in my years of observations by administrators. I also successfully trained teachers on a regular basis in Technology Professional Development Sessions teaching them how to work their webpage for the school district, trained them in the new grade book program, and how to incorporate technology into their curriculum. I was head support team member for our building for the new Linkage (Battelle for Kids) program by the Ohio Department of Education and was instrumental in training the staff for this new program. Both with my students and colleagues, I possessed strong leadership qualities and had the capacity to manage challenging events calmly and effectively while consistently striving to create the best learning and assessment methods possible for both students and staff.
Served as Reading (2002-2007) and Technology (2009-2012) Department Chair.
