My professional background is brief although I have been working since age 14 I have just completed 28 years of loyal service with Franks International. Up until recently Franks had been the largest family owned oilfield service company in the world. I am vastly familiar with many down hole tools and services . I have been in a Supervisor position most of my oilfield life. Intimately in tuned to the many facets of what it takes to be a Team Leader, but also a team player. I know how to build a team of good workers. Very comfortable with procedure and working with corporate policy. Eager to comply with standards and guidelines as regards regulations and safety. I have a history of good work.... I am able to follow directions and get the mission accomplished on time and done safe. I know the Job Safety Analysis program. I am Sems tested on 82 different tools and regulatory standards. I learned early in Army ROTC that I was a natural born leader. I have a history of successful accomplishments...not just as a passing grade but I always exceed expectations. I possess excellent communication skills. That's not to say I am a stay clean kinda guy.... I am proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics and electric systems of tools and trouble shooting. I am willing and able to teach my fellow workers and share my experience with them to improve our unit as a team
I have endured many days of non-stop work both day and night shifts sometimes as much as 48-60 hours long with zero loss time on my records of which I am proud of. So it was with great pleasure that companies such as Shell Oil Inc. and Shell Deep water as well as Exxon Mobil, BP and Chevron have all given me recognition for "outstanding Leadership and Safety" on more than one occasion.
I came over during the oil crunch in '87. They had a sign on the door that said....Absolutely Not Hiring.... I walked out twenty minutes later job in hand and went to work with out a physical or drug screen 6 hours later . All based on my past record and abilities as well as my professional manner and very good communication skills. I have been a supervisor for much of my life ...having worked on some of the best deep water projects in the Gulf of Mexico...Shell Mars...Shell Brutus....Shell Ursa ... Shell Ram Powell ... Shell Auger ... BP Pompano ... Pompano Phase II .. BP Troika . Exxon Mobil...Diana and Diana South. Exxon Marshall and Madison.
As a sideline I completed studies in photography to pursue freelance work. I still freelance and at times teach others basic photography skills and techniques.
