One of my favorite sayings is that there is no "I" in team. I've always strongly believed that the group is more important than the individual, and I feel that it has really brought me far in life. In high school, I was an active member in a Jewish youth group, the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO), both on the local and regional level. Locally, I was both a team member and team president on multiple leadership boards. As team member, I excelled at not only fulfilling my job description but also going above and beyond the call of duty and helping out fellow board members with their work. As team president, I prided myself on being able to handle both internal and external conflicts very effectively along with making sure everyone on the board was on top of their responsibilities. On the regional level, I oversaw team members in charge of event planning in their respective communities, providing them with my recommendations on how to better improve events in their communities to increase popularity. In addition, through these leadership positions, I learned how to effectively listen to others and stay open-minded when pitched ideas from others. All in all, I feel that my leadership experience has helped to shape me into the caring and forward-thinking person I am today and makes me a very desirable candidate for this position.
