I am a former banking professional who has recently became a Certified Nursing Assistant and is pursuing further education to become a nurse. Though I enjoyed helping credit union members, I realized I desired to help people and make a difference in even more impactful ways, as a healthcare worker. I am dependable, caring, and honest and look forward to a new career path in which I can constantly learn and evolve.

I attended an accelerated four week CNA course with Dare 2 Care Learning Center from Oct 2019-November 2019, passing my state board exam at the end of December. This training included two weeks of clinicals at a local long-term care facility, where I was able to help residents and practice learned skills first hand. This includes helping with ADLs, transfers, taking vitals, ambulating residents, emptying catheter bags, and more.
I worked as a Teller Manager (and filled the role of an Assistant Branch Manager as well) as my last position with MIDFLORIDA, for about two years. This included leading, coaching, and training the teller line, supervising the branch when the Branch Manager was away, being Vault Teller and performing all related duties, doing all branch audits, making schedules for all staff, working as a teller as needed throughout each day, writing teller performance reviews, making sure all branch employees kept up with required annual training, arranging coverage for shifts when there were call-outs, filling in in the lobby for new accounts/loan officer as needed, and more. Ability to multi-task was key in this position as I went between duties of an Assistant Manager, Teller Manager, Vault Teller, Teller, and Relationship Banker in the lobby throughout each day as needs arose.
I assisted members of SELCO CCU over the phone, via chat, and email for over 7 years. In this position providing professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service was key. Daily duties included helping members with questions of all sorts, funds transfers, wire transfers, opening accounts, IRA requests, assisting with online banking, offering products and services, and helping members with all concerns or problems. On a number of occasions I was asked to help train new Member Service Representatives via on-the-job shadowing. I was also asked to help with projects on occasion and was given additional tasks such as supply ordering for the branch. My managers said they chose me to work on projects or take on additional tasks due to my attention to detail and reliability.
My job duties at Pentagon Federal Credit Union were much like those of my subsequent position at SELCO Community Credit Union, except I also assisted with loan origination over the phone. My time at Pentagon FCU laid the foundation for understanding banking and helping others with that understanding. It also taught me what great customer service means and that truly caring for people and caring about the quality of service you provide are the only things that enable you to give the service all deserve.
