Providing intensive case management services and emotional support to survivors of human trafficking, domestic and international survivors. Serving both labor and sex trafficking victims.
Conducting intakes, eligibility assessments, and HT screenings.
Creating service plans and ensuring that the survivors immediate needs were met which included: referrals, clothing, food, rental assistance, and possible relocation.
Coordinating shelter/housing, applied for HHS certification processing
Making referrals for medical care, dental care, safe housing, mental health, employment, case management services, counseling, and legal support. Assessing eligibility for external, public, or community based programs.
Providing resources for transportation, life skills training, and community support. Working with interpreter/translator services.
Involvement in victim advocacy and coordination.
Ensuring quality provision of services through meticulous case notation, case file management, case supervision, referral system management, and the completion of monthly reports in a timely manner.
Participating in RST trainings and external trainings.
Managing check and gift card distribution. Providing in-kind donations from the community and guaranteed efficient, documented distribution to clients.
Raising awareness for RST by attending meetings like the North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking and CEASE North Texas Anti-Demand Coalition
Attending HSI, FBI, and law enforcement meetings. Establishing relationship with HSI where HSI now directly sends referrals to RST.
Pre-Arrival Activities
Administering apartment set-ups and airport pick-ups
Completing Home Supply Lists, Pre-Arrival Housing Check, and Home Safety Checks
Post-Arrival Activities
Providing orientation/client education through facilitating Bus Orientation and Cultural Orientation, serving as an advocate for clients by helping them with basic needs which include: taking clients grocery shopping, completing hospital/clinic paperwork, and providing safe and supervised transport to their appointments/activities.
Conducting intakes and home visits.
Facilitating home orientation in order to ensure clients' understanding of their new home as well as their safety.
Obtaining I-94s and submitting AR-11's on behalf of clients, keeping up consistent communication with clients, working alongside translators for clients' appropriate languages, referring clients to RCA, MG, Employment, SAS, and PC services, completing data entry in RMS and IRIS in timely manner.
Helping clients with their financial literacy and distributing their welcome money checks.
Applying for medical benefits (RMA or Medicaid), SNAP, TANF, SSI/SSDI, Social Security, WIC, and government housing.
Identifying and connecting mentors with clients.
Registering for Selective Service for clients.
Connecting clients to English training programs and resources.
Ensuring that clients with disabilities and/or severe medical conditions receive the care and resources they require
Referring clients to medical clinics, mental health clinics, and specialists
Enrolling children and adults in school
Reviewing and maintaining case files and comprehensive case notes, assessing clients' needs and developing service plans accordingly, gathering donations and completing donation logs, working alongside clients to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
Identifying new housing opportunities for possible partnerships and contacting housing managers
