My job history in the service industry gives me a unique skill set for the technology industry. The ability to communicate with people is invaluable in any area of work. Additionally, problem solving was a large part of all my jobs. The varied services that were part of each job required me to learn skills rapidly, allowing me to excel in my positions. As being a student, I am knowledgeable with the most up to date technology and issues that occur.
I am responsible for transactions, customer service, and product inventory. I began serving banquets in August and in October received a promotion to bartender.
Responsibility is primarily upkeep of the locker room. This can range from shoe shining to personally catering to members' needs.
Contracted through Robert Half Technologies to assist with capture machine transition for BMO Harris Bank. This involved the replacement of old hardware and the testing of new hardware. Responsibilities included alerting the management room with the progress of the hardware and working independently.
Initially hired as a bellman and was promoted within three months to guest service representative. Skills required for this job include: communication, enthusiasm to provide for guests, problem solving, and a working knowledge of a multitude of different software. Self-reliance was a large part of this job, being alone for a majority of my shifts for 8 hours plus. As a small hotel, many computer repairs were vastly my responsibility.
