My most recent experience is facilitating classes and mentoring a group of over 100 men at the Petersburg Federal Correctional Institution. The classes consist of Healthy Living Choices and Modification of behavior. I also sat as the Chief of the Positive Peer Committee where I was responsible in helping men overcome negative behavior. I have received high marks from the facility and received Peer of the month for my efforts and support I have provided to these men. I am a motivational speaker and am comfortable speaking to a crowd.
I also have an extensive background in Airframe & Powerplant aircraft mechanics. I have worked for Hamilton Aerospace Technologies, Bombardier Learjet Aviation, Eclipse Aviation and Evergreen Air Center. RDAP is a nine month program and is the Federal Bureau's most intensive treatment program for individuals struggling with addiction. Individuals participate in half-day programming and half-day work, school, or vocational activities.
As a senior peer and graduate, I mentored over 100 men completing their treatment program. There were three senior peers, including myself that mentored, encouraged, and helped the men through the rigorous steps of this treatment program.
I also facilitated two classes; (1) Healthy Choices in Life and making better choices for health, family, employment and society. (2) Modification which is a class on how to handle negative behavior.
As the Chief of the Positive Peer Committee I helped individuals in the community handle issues acclimating to the RDAP program and displaying positive behaviors in the program.
I was responsible for a wide variety of duties related to maintenance and repairs such as painting, carpentry, installation, building repair and tile work.
I shot and bucked M-S AWD N-A-S Rivats to complete stages in marrying the embalage to the cockpit of planes.
I also trouble-shot close tolerance holes drilled in the skin of the aircraft to maintain air worthiness per Quality Control and Federal Aviation Standards.
I installed and removed snack and soda vending machines in businesses.
Additional duties included helping run the warehouse and stocking the trucks for next day deliveries.
I performed C & D checks on narrow body aircraft such as the Boeing 727-737 and DC-8 and McDonald Douglas.
I also performed flight control rigging pylon extensions, cargo door modules and flight control removal and replacement per Federal Aviation Standards.
I was also in charge of the facilities maintenance manuals and procedures.
