It is my distinct pleasure to introduce myself as a potential candidate for employment with your agency/business. I have been a licensed practical nurse in Florida for 30 plus years. As is evidenced by my resume my experience in geriatric care is rather extensive. I feel that this work experience combined with my psychiatric nursing background makes me a prime candidate for a position at the LPN level. Although not included in my resume, I worked at Northeast Florida State Hospital in MacClenny, Florida in the geriatric psychiatric unit from 1994-1996 where I gained wonderful experience. My personal skills include excellent communication, outgoing personality. I am detail oriented at work. My abilities are to respect the rights of others, co-workers and patients as well as superiors. I am compassionate, kind, caring and am not afraid to take on leadership roles and responsibilities commensurate with a charge nurse position. I have manged numerous CNA's, ensured that the facilities documentation met the standards set forth by the state of Florida, in addition to my duties of patient care and treatment. Should you have a need for a conscientious nurse I believe that I am what you are seeking. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the possibility of employment. Thank you for your time and attention to my inquiry and resume. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
