I won back the business of several large accounts, including the area's largest grocery chain and they are now our company's largest account. I have grown all of my accounts using my ability to plan and prepare to secure a meeting; evaluate needs by asking the right questions; build a results-based solution by addressing all of the customer's pain points; present and close by overcoming objections and asking for the sale; and then following through to keep the customer and maintain the relationship.
I consistently exceeded my monthly sales goals and never missed quarterly sales goal in almost 5 years. I grew the territory by more than 120%. I built some very strong relationships with my customers and many of them truly trust me to the point that even though they are no longer my accounts, they still seek my advice for all of their marketing strategies.

I managed Kinneer's mattress stores in Coralville and Cedar Rapids, and bedding department at their full-line furniture store in Kalona. While under my management the Coralville store had a year over year sales increase of more than 50%. I also oversaw the opening of a new store in Cedar Rapids and was charged with hiring staff, setting up the sales floor, ordering inventory, etc. I was responsible for all of the day to day operations of both mattress stores, training new sales staff, and marketing while still actively assisting customers.
This was my first position in sales and I quickly excelled. By listening to a customers wants and needs, I would make the most of every opportunity by making the best possible recommendation, upselling and adding care/service plans. I would follow-up with every customer after the sale, make sure they were satisfied and thank them. All of this earned me many repeat customers and I was consistently ranked at the top in sales revenue.
