Regional Climate and Energy Action Plan: Develop and manage Action Plan, Resource Guide, implementation tracking process, annual progress report, and awards program that recognizes accomplishments of projects that decrease greenhouse gas emissions and improve community resiliency. This plan and implementation support has helped the National Capital Region (NCR) achieve its first greenhouse gas emission reduction goal of 10 percent below business as usual by 2012 (back down to 2005 levels).
Sustainable Maryland: Guide the development and implementation of the Sustainable Maryland Certified Program as part of the Executive Committee. In less than four years there are more than 50 participating Maryland municipalities, 20 of which have earned certification.
Sustainable Procurement: Provide sustainable procurement policy guidance and implementation training. Help advance cooperative procurement of sustainable products and services for public agencies in the mid-Atlantic typically result in an estimate 12 percent cost savings. Bulk solar procurement thus far has resulted in procurement of more than 15 megawatts of solar. Currently working to support cooperative solar procurement for homeowners and development of cooperative procurement process for commercial businesses.
Regional Resilience: Managed a regional resilience planning initiative that resulted in a regional vulnerability assessment, identification of strategies to enhance regional resilience, and capacity building for more than 200 public sector leaders in the NCR. Serve on the Resilient Communities for America Advisory Committee since 2013 to guide program development and encourage local elected officials to commit to enhancing community resiliency. There are now hundreds of signatories nationwide and in the NCR signatories went from two to more than a dozen in the last year.
Raise Public and Private Resources: Secured more than $200,000 in technical assistance, grants and scholarships to support MWCOG's climate mitigation and resiliency initiatives. This includes serving as project manager for a U.S. EPA Sustainable Communities Technical Assistance Grant and The White House Climate Action Champions initiative. It also includes COG member scholarships to resiliency leadership academies, national and international trainings and conferences, and greenhouse gas inventory assistance.

Green Communities: Created and managed one of the first green local government certification programs in the country. Provided policy and implementation support that resulted in comprehensive adoption and implementation of sustainable local government practices and certification of nine local governments in the first year of the program.
Water Supply and Conservation: Managed the development of the first 5-year update for the Regional Water Supply and Conservation Plan. Developed and managed conservation policies and programs for water utilities in North Georgia such as the toilet rebate program that has now rebated more than 100,000 low-flow toilet that are saving an estimated 900 gallons per year.
