  • Assists in the execution of contingency plans, Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) and the operational execution mission directives; assists in the coordination of operational issues between ARNORTH and its supported field commands to include the Department of the Army, Joint Forces Command, Northern Command and Forces Command; prepares and briefs daily Operation and Intelligence Briefs; assists in the execution of classified and unclassified message traffic using Army Message Handling System (AMHS).
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements all matters of special operations, policy, exercises and strategy as they relate to the ARNORTH AOR while working with interagency working groups, Government, Federal, State, and Local agencies, and other commands.
  • Keeps command informed of all critical actions, operations, incidents within ARNORTH Area of Interest.
  • Provides concise and accurate updates to primary staff; Prepares and transmits operational summery reports as required; Establishes the basis and parameters for accomplishing the tasks established by ARNORTHto mitigate the effects and response to homeland defense and civil support, contingency exercises, floods, storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, accidents, oil and chemical spills, weapons of mass destruction, and other disaster emergencies.
