I am in the middle of my Junior year in college at Dallas Baptist University. I am working on a major in Communications and a minor in Criminal Justice with my focus on law school. Although I do not have much professional experience, I am fortunate to have immediate family members in the Legal and Law Enforcement fields. This has given me an opportunity to see and hear about prosecution and street enforcement first hand.
My ability to be successful in my education has been demonstrated by completing high school with a 3.87 GPA. This was not achieved under normal circumstances but rather utilizing online material through Texas Tech University for the majority of my ninth and tenth grade years. This was due to the need for multiple hospitalizations and treatments for a life threatening illness. The ability to work responsibly and autonomously enabled me to graduate on time successfully. In addition, I have been on the Dean's List every semester at DBU. To accomplish this, I had to maintain a GPA of at least 3.75, mine of which is currently 3.9.
