I am a School Based Behavioral Health Professional working in Special Education at the middle school level. I have been working in this field for the past five years. This job requires being trustworthy, dependable, and able to work with multiple staff members along with students with moderate to severe learning and/or cognitive disabilities. Working in this field has helped me develop more as a professional and a human being.
I have worked in the restaurant industry off and on for the past 15 years. I started working at a take out window, and washing dishes in high school at Captain's Fresh Idea in Waldoboro. Eventually as I progressed through my young adulthood, I moved up to wait staff, bartending, management, worked banquettes, and expedited food as needed while working at the Landings Restaurant in Rockland.
I enjoy getting to know people and am an enthusiastic and empathetic person. I truly enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and am easy to work with.

I have been working as an Education Technician and was trained as a School Based Behavioral Health Professional. I work with middle school aged children with cognitive and learning disabilities.
This position was probably the most challenging I have ever had. It was a great experience with very high expectations for all staff. I learned a lot about attention to details and how important repeat customers are to this business, as well as the importance of up-selling deserts, drinks, etc.
I was hired as a bartender, but also waited tables as needed. When I was given management responsibilities, I helped bus tables, seat customers, clear up any issues and take reservations. I managed staff breaks and made sure restaurant production was up to the owners' standards. I also cashed out wait staff and am familiar with restaurant computer systems.
I attended all College Prep Classes and graduated in the top 25% of my class. I played Basketball and Softball as well as participated for 3 years in Drama, doing school productions.
I have my Associates Degree in Small Business Concentration. However, I am currently working toward a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education.
