Sales Representative calling on residential home builders meeting with builders and their subcontractors to review blueprints, make material orders, introduce new products, and schedule deliveries. The Sales Representative had to be able to read and interpret blueprint drawings and know local building codes. It was also the Sales Representative's responsibility to recruit new customers through cold calling and getting referrals from other home builders or subcontractors. Other job responsibilities included inside counter sales, answering phones, writing orders for walk-in customers, and helping with inventory.
