In October of 1999, I started Adonai Security LLC. The company grew from the first year tax year of 97k in gross sales to 428K in gross sales by 2007 tax year. Because of the downturn in the economy I facilitated the sale of Adonai Security to a larger company based out of Kennesaw GA. in 2010. I began to rebuild another company in 2013, and because of some personal events I decided to sell the company to a local HVAC business owner after his approach to me expressing the desire to get into the Alarm industry.
US Security Inc was one of the nations largest ADT authorized dealers. I became the first sales rep in the Chattanooga office in 1996. In 1997, i married and moved to Blue Ridge GA. I traveled the distance to continue to sell in the Chattanooga area. Eventually the decision was made to allow me to sell in the Blue Ridge GA area. Within just a short while I learned to install the systems that I had secured in the selling process.
The goal was to open a branch office in the Blue Ridge area. The decision was made by the home office that it was not conducive to open the branch office due to many changes that had taken place concerning the authorized dealer programs of the course of time.
Because of the need and request of the market to continue to serve the areas low-voltage needs I decided to branch out and start Adonai Security in Oct of 1999.
I began the company to meet the demand of the market place and provide a solution the customers desires. I continued to expand my knowledge base of the Low Voltage industry by learning new technologies. I eventually became a full blown Low Voltage contractor able to provide services to the market including, Standard Residential Alarm, Commercial Burg and Fire Alarms, CCTV Services, Structure Wiring, Audio/ Video Distribution, Intercom, Access Control, Automatic Gates, and Home Automations.
I have accumulated the knowledge of the following brands of systems:
Fire/ Burg Systems: Honeywell, (Residential and Commercial); DSC; GE/ Interloxic; 2 Gig.
CCTV: both Analog and IP systems.
Audio/ Video includes: Russound; Harman Kardon; Denon; Yamaha; Snap A/V; Proficient Audio;
Gates: Elite; Viking; GTO; Apollo; Linear; Doorking (both standard Keypad and Telephone Entry systems)
Media Rooms: Epson Dealer; Yamaha; Snap A/V speakers and Balun products.
In 2010 I consented the sale of the company to a Kennesaw based Security company.
I began another low voltage company to answer the needs of the market place that was not being answered to by the local serving companies. I did this while adhering to the no-compete clause instituted by the purchasing company of Adonai Security. The no-compete was for the monitored customers that I had sold to the company and was in place for a 5 year period.
After rebuilding the company around the sales and installation of the 2 Gig systems, I had decided to sell the company to a local HVAC dealer that had approached me sharing his desire to get into the industry. I had already made the decision to sell the company prior to the approach and move to the Nashville area.
