I am a freshman attending CSU Chico. I graduated from Lincoln High School with my MA certification, which I earned while simultaneously completing my high school education requirements and extracurricular commitments. I was on the dance team here for three years, which has given me much experience working as part of a team. I swam for the LHS swim team for one season my sophomore year, broadening my teamwork experience. I spent much of my senior year volunteering at a clinic with elderly patients through my medical assisting program, making me a more patient and well rounded individual. I'm a friendly person who is easy to work with, due to my experience with children and adults alike from babysitting and volunteering as a Sunday school teacher to working with many geriatric people suffering in their health.
I volunteered at Summit Church for four years, working with various ages, ranging from infants to children of 11 years. I was also on the student leadership team at church. I have experience teaching lessons and leading group activities and I am good at communicating with others and working as a member of a team. My time spent at the Auburn Medical Clinic, though it did count towards my program, was completely unpaid volunteer hours. It has helped me to be a more empathetic and understanding person and the time I spent there will continue to help me in my future.
