Experienced Safety Supervisor for Airgas, Inc/OIlind Safety. I worked closely with Devon Energy, Encana, Conoco Phillips, Exxon Mobile, Sinclair, Marathon, Enterprise Products, Williams Production and Chevron North America providing Safety Supervision, breathing air for confined space and confined space rescue. Current Hazmat License, PEC Certified and past trainings include CPR, First Aid, Confined Space and I will obtain a class A or B license if needed. I have worked in poison gas areas where I provided gas monitoring, and have worked as a Safety Contractor in refineries in Billings, MT and Casper, WY. JSA and Permit Writing
Provided assistance for permitting of confined spaces, hot work, excavation and radiation. Perform safety audits and review documentation for Job Safety Analysis. Perform other safety tasks as directed by the client facility. Worked 12-14 hour days, 7 days a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•I Ensured proper procedural documentation was completed as applicable in a variety of operational environments prior to beginning work including proper work permits and JSA's.
•Supervise safety personnel on turnarounds and oversee general safety requirements as applicable.
•Ability to diagnose basic problems, troubleshoot equipment and take corrective action within established guidelines. Audit Contractor adherence to client Injury/Illness (I2P2) prevention programs.
•Complete knowledge and familiarity with the refinery Safe Work Practices (SWPs), Work Permit procedures, as well providing direction surrounding elements of the Turnaround Safety Management Plan and SWPs. Diligently maintained safety and quality standards, completed trainings and orientations outlining the Safe Work Practices and site specific information required to work at these facilities. I have done stand-by rescue work for confined space entires in the field for Devon Energy, Conoco Phillips, Anadarko, Encana, Marathon and others. I have been trained in high-angle rescue procedures and completion of rescue plans for individual tanks and vessels. I operated, calibrated and maintained various types of air monitoring equipment (i.e. Industrial Scientific, BW Tech, Area and Rae Systems). Interpreted and documented air monitoring results. I am also trained in the operation and use of fresh air respirators for use in Toxic Environments. Interpreted and documented air monitoring results.
Strong Agricultural Background: Interpret procedures for Federal Farm programs for the local County Committee. Manage the day to day operations of the Farm Service Agency office, field work including program compliance. Federally funded disaster programs, conservative programs, hiring program technicians, disbursing loans and payments. Worked directly with local farmers, ranches and other USDA agencies. Responsible for directing and managing program and administrative operations of County FSA office as required to carry out authorized production flexibility, price support, conservation and related programs.
