Restorative and Yin Yoga practiceFeb 2016 to Current Private Classes － Miami, FL
Calming and gentle yoga poses aimed directly for meditative practice and relaxation. The longer posture holds aid significantly in direct health and mind improvements. Overall classes are held in warm or comfortable conditions.
In restorative practice, props such as bolsters and blocks are used to aid in holding comfortable positions for an extended period of time. This is where true relaxation and health benefits are achieved. Restorative practice can greatly aid students who want to relieve stress, anxiety, depression, as well as to have more energy and sleep better. Physical health benefits include greater flexibility, gently aids back pain, balances the nervous system, and many more. Restorative Yoga also helps students suffering from illnesses such as cancer, cardiac health, aids weight loss and many more.
Through Yin practice, only specific poses are used to use and stretch tissues instead of muscles. Through tissue stretching, we experience a different benefit to our bodies -- they become stronger and less degeneration occurs over time. There is also an energetic benefit to this practice, as the holding of poses and breathing techniques allows for a greater flow of energy throughout the body. This better flow of energy helps with organ function, aids with pains in the body, aids dizziness, and any illnesses that may contribute to degeneration. Finally, the heart and mind benefit which allows the students blood pressure to lower naturally, reduces stress, improves digestion, lessens inflammation and improves the immune system.
