I began working at age 14. I have had many years experience dealing with customers and the public. For the last two years I have gained experience helping customers via phone. I take pride in doing a good job. I learn quickly. If I make a mistake I rarely make it twice. I'm looking for a job that I can make a permanent career choice. I also like something that can be challenging and would give me room to advance within the company.
I assisted customers calling in, with planning reservations. This requires good vocal descriptions of various seating within the theater, to assist customers when making their seating choices. Also went over company policies and took payments via phone. Also with the addition of online sales. I learned to make occasional outgoing calls to customers, when needed, to verify occasional issues with their reservation.
Here I helped make brakes for vehicles. Initially I was responsible for maintaining quality and productivity of up to twelve machines at the same time. Over a short amount of time I was given the responsibilities of training others. From there I went on to be in charge of multiple machine lines and employees. I was responsible for quality checks, machine maintenance, and making sure employees were able to meet productivity demands. Later I was moved to the quality control lab. There I was responsible for running a Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM). I was to run the daily CMM checks on all machine lines for the factory. If anything was out of spec I was to report it to the line leader immediately so parts could be brought back to acceptable parameters.
I was responsible for ensuring guests received beverages, appetizers, and meals in a timely manner. I also addressed any issues the customer may have had with food quality in an efficient manner, and keeping the guest happy. I was also responsible for collecting payment from the guests for their meal.
Here I was responsible for approaching customers in the store and assisting them with their needs. I gained a lot of experience interacting with customers since I was employed here for six years. I was also responsible for cashing out customers. Over the years I was offered management opportunities. However I turned them down because I felt I was too young to accept them. I was also given the responsibility of making deposits at the bank for the company. The majority of skill I developed for interacting with customers has come from this job. Its impossible to convey all that I learned from this job of six years in just a short paragraph.
Here I helped mold carpets for the interior floor of vehicles. Responsible for ensuring quality of product while maintaining fast working pace. Also had to quickly add rubber and padding to the carpets where required. I was only employed here for 6 months, until I was released of my duties, due to a company wide layoff. Due to being union run they had to let go the people hired last. Although being there a short time. I was given line leader responsibilities after a couple of months. It was my responsibility to load the right carpets for our orders. Make sure we kept up with production demands and ensure quality. Also assisting my team wherever needed.
Here I was responsible for maintaining clean kennels for the animals. I also assisted the vets with restraining animals when needed. Also with blood draws and other examination procedures. I left this job because working two full time jobs was physically draining me. It wasnt healthy for me.
I was also part of the OWA - Occupational Work Program my freshman and sophomore years. This was where I attended school for half a day and then went to my job for the second half.
I understand that there is only so much you are able to understand about a person based on their resume. I just wanted to take the time here to say that I take my jobs seriously. I'm particular on where I apply to work. I don't want to make a commitment to an employer if I don't intend to follow through. I enjoy getting to know my fellow workers and have fun if time allows. My priority is my job responsibilities though, and I like to keep busy. I've been looking for a job where I can stay for many years, and I hope you will consider me as a future employee. Also I haven't written a resume in years so I apologize if this is a little overboard. Have a good day and thank you for your consideration.
