I have been in the oil and gas industry for about 11 years. All of my experience has been with the drilling aspect where I have worked from the position of floor hand up to my current position as relief driller. I have many certifications in my current field including: MSHA, OSHA, Wild Well Control, Front end loader with attachments, CPR and first aid, confined space, lock out tag out, and h2s. I am used to working in adverse weather conditions as well as working long hours and traveling for work.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working for Ensign and have grown in many ways over the past eight years, both in skill and leadership. I have worked in many positions on the oil rig, most recently as a relief driller where I am over the crew and the operations needed to run the oil rig successfully. I have been running the rig and crew for over a year. I am very focused on safety and efficiency and have learned how to balance those effectively.
Unit is where I started working on an oil rig and where I learned the skills necessary to perform my job responsibilities in an efficient and safe manor. My job responsibilities included cleaning and maintenance of the oil rig as well as all of the tools used on the rig. As a motor hand I serviced all engines including forklifts, loaders, and the motors used to run the rig itself. I was responsible for maintaining service and safety log records on all equipment.
Operated the lay down casing truck. I lead the team in safety meetings as a third party contractor. I also completed necessary log books daily.
