I have 20 years experience in the maintenance field. With this I have had a lot of hands on and in class training. I am well rounded in HVAC, Electric, Plumbing and Carpentry. My strengths are in troubleshooting, time management and I am able to work unsupervised. I am a hard worker and believe if it is worth doing it is worth doing right. I always maintain a clean and safe work area for me and my coworkers. I also believe I would be a great asset to anyone who offers me the opportunity to join their team.
Served as a working supervisor in a complete lighting and HVAC control retrofit at a High School which resulted in saving the school district thousands of dollars each year.
Introduced a new Preventive Maintenance program at our local hospital which showed a considerable savings in break downs.
Designed and built several 2,000+ sq. ft. houses while working as a supervisor for a local contractor. Also designed and installed the HVAC and plumbing in these houses.
Broke sales records 2 years in a row for residential HVAC sales while working as a Sales/Install Manager.
As a Refrigeration Operator my duties are to monitor, record and report the daily operations of the utilities at our plant. We deliver the cooling, steam, air, and hot water so that our production team can run uninterrupted to meet the demands of our customers. My goal is to keep our equipment operating at optimum efficiency and reliability.
As a Refrigeration Mechanic my duties are to maintain our equipment by doing scheduled PM's and making daily repairs reported by our operators. Our equipment consists of, 15 high stage compressors, 14 boosters, 3 steam boilers, 3 air compressors, 15 rooftops, condensers, evaporators, vessels, pumps, motors, hot water tanks, cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers and 330,000lbs. of ammonia. We also maintain all other aspects of delivering these services such as piping, insulation, strainers, traps, circulation pumps and chemical systems. One of our top goals is to keep a clean and safe working environment.
I have received a CARO certification from RETA(Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association) this allows me to operate and maintain an ammonia system. I am also HAZMAT certified. We have yearly physicals to show we are capable of wearing full face respirators and SCBA along with full HAZMAT PPE for evacuation and rescue.
Over all we have a big responsibility of not just making sure our production continues, but to keep our fellow employees and the people around our plant safe.
As a Sales Manager I was responsible for gathering leads for potential HVAC install customers. This required marketing, making phone calls, working home shows, following up on leads and inspecting customers homes. I treated each lead as a potential sale and treated the customer as such. This helped develop my social and professional skills by giving me a chance to serve our community with integrity and responsibility. I successfully surpassed my budget numbers every year.
As Install Manager I went out to the customers houses and gathered all the information I needed to meet their needs. Then I prepared my presentation which included my recommendations for their new equipment, a design or layout, options to improve efficiency and cost analysis. After the sale I ordered equipment, drew out design, informed install crew and scheduled install with customer. I was involved in the install as well and also during busy seasons installed many systems on my own.
As Mechanical Supervisor I designed homes and their mechanicals. We were a unique builder, because we drew up our own plans for each house and had them approved and stamped if needed. My main responsibility was the design and installation of the interior and exterior mechanics of these homes. I made drawings for the HVAC, plumbing and electrical. There was a lot of time and detail put into these designs. We wanted to be sure our customers were comfortable in their new homes and also that they had adequate lighting to enjoy the details we included. I was involved in all aspects of the building process from the digging of footers to installing of the electrical outlets. I learned a lot about permits, codes and business while I was employed at Key Construction.
As a HVAC Maintenance Mechanic I was responsible for all the heating and cooling systems in the six county locations. These systems varied from residential split systems to one hundred ton roof top units. We also maintained the boilers, hot water systems, cooling wells, chillers, refrigerators, freezers and glycol system. We were not limited to just HVAC we also helped in maintaining any electrical, plumbing or construction issues that may have came in. We did all our own preventive maintenance on our systems such as filters, lubrication, calibrations and replacements if necessary.
As a Maintenance Plumber I was responsible for all the piping which included, water, steam, medical gases, drainage and chemical systems. I repaired and replaced any bad piping and or fixtures. I also snaked drains, replaced shut offs, repaired kitchen equipment, repaired laundry equipment, maintained fire system. I also helped in any other aspects of maintenance.
While I was at Adena I acquired my Universal Refrigeration License and my Third Class Stationary Engineer License. I was also involved in JCAHO inspections in which I was able to lead our maintenance team to receive very high marks with the inspectors. We took pride in what we did.
As a Maintenance Electrician I was responsible for all electrical components of the 8 buildings we maintained such as clocks, bells, security, lighting and kitchen equipment. I was also involved in all other aspects of the maintenance department. We maintained hot water systems, boilers, water softeners, bathrooms, HVAC units, freezers and refrigerators. While I was here I designed and installed electric to two large additions at the High School.
Did not finish my degree. I was married, working and did not have the time and money to finish.
