Before a train leaves the station and at every depot along the route, the railroad conductor is responsible for the train's safety. He is required to visually inspect each car to be sure that the safety equipment is in working order, and if a problem arises it is the conductor's responsibility to remove and replace that car. If the conductor works on a freight train, he is obliged to check each car to be certain that the cargo is properly distributed before the train leaves the station.
All crew members on the train are coordinated by the conductor, including both the departure and arrival of the cargo. A conductor is in charge of all paperwork pertaining to the trains cargo. paperwork includes hazmat, car counts, footage and tonage. The conductor is responsible for all repairs of freight cars, if able to repair, on route to destination. The conductor relays yarding instructions to the engineer by radio and hand signals. And finally a conductor operates hand throw rail switches and derails.
Duties included setting concrete forms for all types of pours. Insure that area where concrete was to be poured was at correct grade with forms, using earth moving equipment such as skid loaders, and track hoes. Assisted in the pouring and leveling of the wet concrete. Also finishing the concrete with hand tools such as trowels, floats and edgers.
Duties included; The repair and rebuild of turbofan f402-rr-408 pegasus jet engines. Flown in the av-8b harrier II aircraft. I ensured the repairs were within all specifications and tolerances. Also performed all scheduled and non scheduled inspections on different sections of the engines. Also as a Marine, performed all other duties not just pertaining to my military occupational specialty. Supervised all Marines under my rank as a non commission officer. I was deployed in several military operations. including operation enduring freedom and Iraqi freedom. In which i performed all types of duties from mechanical to security. I was awarded several medals and accommodations. including the navy achievement medal twice, also good conduct medal.
