My professional background includes four years as a physical therapy aide for two different companies, Sheridan Physical Therapy in Wyoming and Innovative Rehabilitation out of Billings, Montana. During the last year as an aide, I obtained my CNA certification. Since April of 2012, I have been using that certification more specifically as a CNA on the orthopedic floor of St. Vincent Healthcare. I have also had First Aid training and am certified in CPR/BLS. I have extensive experience in taking care of people who have recently undergone an orthopedic intervention, as well as some experience taking care of other medical patients. I also have four year of experience as a radio personality and radio new broadcaster, affording me a unique set of excellent communication skills.
Certified Nursing Assistant License
Basic Life Support Certification

Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Performance
I was the co-host to a casual morning show from 5:00am until 9:00am, after which I would go on to my full-time job as a physical therapy aide. This job afforded me the chance to volunteer several hours for local organizations such as Relay for Life and breast cancer awareness groups.
As a member of a broadcasting team, I was responsible for conducting interview and creating news stories around them for both text and radio. I also wrote and recorded several news stories each week, as well as recording as many as seven agricultural market reports each day.
I was responsible for taking care of patients and working with them during their physical therapy sessions of stretching, strengthening, and other therapy interventions such as ultrasound and IFC treatments. I was also often entrusted with chart information, answering phones, and cleaning the clinic.
As an aide for Innovative Rehab, it was required that I had first obtained my CNA license as I was expected to fulfill many CNA duties on a daily basis, i.e. toileting, hygiene cares, feeding, etc. I primary responsibilities included transporting patients to and from their physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy appointments within the facility. I was also expected to oversee exercises, build and manage patient charts and notes, answer phones, and keep the physical therapy gym clean.
CNAs at St. Vincent Healthcare are responsible for taking care of patients needs from feeding, dressing, bathing and toileting to monitoring vital signs and blood glucose readings. I also take pride in making sure the patient has all of his/her questions answered as best I can, and ensuring that the are as happy and as comfortable as possible. CNAs communicate closely with the nursing staff to keep the patients as safe, clean, healthy and satisfied as possible.
During my time at Sheridan College, I was a starter for the college volleyball team, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a student ambassador, and an active member of most student body activities.
I transfered to Billings during the Spring semester of 2010 after taking over two years off from classes to raise more money for school. Within five semesters, I completed my BS with grades that merited a consistent spot on the Dean's List, all the while maintaining one or two jobs. I thoroughly enjoyed this education and am anxious to continue onward in the area of health and human sciences.
