Experienced with various diesel engines, electric drive motors, compressors, purifiers, pumps and all other engine room machinery that were aboard the M/V Puyallup Washington State Ferry as well as the M/V Excellence seafood processor. Self-driven and easily trainable.
While attending Seattle Maritime Academy I gained at sea experience aboard the T/V Maritime Instructor, a retired Coast Guard cutter powered by twin 3412 Caterpillar main diesel engines. While underway I became familiar with all the vessel's systems, performed maintenance on equipment, and assisted in deck operations. Also as part of my schooling I interned for the engine department aboard the Washington State Ferries on the M/V Puyallup for a total of 60 days of sea time.
