I consider myself a professional animal caretaker with over 15 years of experience working with animals of different breeds. I am also a Mom of 2 school age boys. I have an outgoing and positive personality with an innate drive to provide superior customer service and excellent care.
My previous work experience was mostly with animals, but I feel that makes me uniquely qualified for the position as an Instructional Aide. I do have a Bachelors of Science degree from Centenary College. In an effort to continue my own education, I am enrolled in a positive reinforcement based dog training program and continue to be amazed at the parallels between those training methods and being able to use the same theories in everyday life.

My current position as property caretaker evolved after my employers, Ann West and Daniel Rosenthal, moved to their new farm in South Carolina in early spring. I am in charge of overseeing all aspects of property care and maintenance. Initially, this position began as spring clean up around their house and barn property once all of the animals left. I cleared and mulched flower beds, mowed and weed whacked and generally over saw the day to day needs of the house and farm property. I supervised the commercial moving company as they packed Ann and Daniel's house. Due to the threat of COVID19, they were unable to return to pack things themselves. I was their eyes and maintained regular contact. After the movers were finished, I was told to find a junk clean out company or individual and interview them about finishing the house clean out. The house successfully sold in July and the farm and barn property sold in October.
I was a founding member of Centenary's Writing Tutor Program.
I was a member of the Intercollegiate Riding Team.
I graduated Suma Cum Laude.
I am considering enrolling to further my education with a teaching certificate or degree in Early Childhood Education. Learning about positive reinforcement based methodology is so intriguing! I am also currently enrolled in CATCH dog training academy. I am expanding my knowledge and developing key skills to increase my knowledge of positive reinforcement based dog training. I look forward to utilizing these skills as they pertain to all aspects of animal care, handling, and training.
I am very interested in learning and the importance of instilling a lifelong love of learning in my own boys.
