Attorneys General Special Hearing
Represented EDMC before a panel of 13 Attorneys General: Addressed concerns and questions from a panel of 13 Attorneys General regarding an investigation into for-profit higher education marketing practices. The panel gained a clearer understanding of lead-generation marketing, the challenges with using lead generation vendors, and the layers of review and monitoring EDMC had in place to mitigate risk. This resulted in EDMC avoiding immediate fines and gained the panel's willingness to enter deeper conversations regarding best practices and practical solutions.
Marketing Operating Procedures Assessment
The CEO requested an analysis of the marketing operating procedures. The objective of this analysis was to determine the best course of action to improve structure, communications, clarity of roles/expectations, define workflows and processes, and create a self-assessment cycle. This project resulted in each team within the marketing department developing a stronger understanding of goals and objectives, the creation of formally documented processes and procedures, divisional leads learning how to effectively implement a self-assessment plan, the elimination of redundancies, and allowed the new CMO to gain a quick understanding of the complexities of the department.
