I began my higher education career at Blinn College-Brenham (first group of girls to live in Melcher) the fall after graduating from high school.
Due to immaturity, lack of a goal, and being a first generation college student, I had too much fun and my grades suffered. After one year, I returned home to Houston and attended HCC. I worked hard at HCC to get my grades up (earned the Chancellor's scholarship) and I eventually transferred to TAMU- College Station. I also was co-enrolled at Blinn-Bryan. I believe I was one of the first students to attend the newly opened (and beautiful) Bryan Campus.
