Since returning to public high school, all but one of my students have passed the mathematics portion of the AHSGE.
Selma City School Mathematics Leadership Team
I developed pacing guides to align our curriculum with the new CCSS.
I also facilitated the new Turn Around Literacy Program for the faculty at Selma High School.
The Selma Early College Program was a program of around 200 students, which were enrolled at Wallace Community College. While taking their core subjects in high school, they took classes from Wallace Community College. There were 5 core teachers assigned to this program and we held our classes at Wallace Community College. When students graduated from high school most graduated with a AA from the college as well.
I was in charge of the 7th grade math curriculum. I was the sponsor of the 7th grade Math Team and competitions. Together with other math teachers, we have developed Math Day, a day of math activities and competitions. Math Day is an annual event that has been going on for the past 6 years. I was in charge of the seventh/eight grade locker halls, sponsor of MS Student Council, and work in the after-school program.
I provided summer tutoring (summer school) for students in math and science.
As an interdisciplinary unit on the" Call of the Wild", I created the "Iditarod Math Race". The race is a math competition in which the students participate in a ?ciphering-on-the-run? type of marathon. Teams of students sprint between stations problem solving along the way.
I taught seventh grade mathematics. I was the sponsor of the ms student council and ran the student council school store. I was a member of the Building Leadership Team, Co-chairman SACS Steering Committee, after school tutorial, and PTO Faculty Representative.
I taught physics, chemistry, physical science, and senior life science.
I taught 8th grade earth science, 12 th grade senior life science, 9th grade general mathematics, and 10th/11th grade geneeral mathematics.
At Georgia Washington, I taught life science and general mathematics

I taught a variety subjects which included: Algebra I and II, business mathematics, GED program, Statics I and II, Marine Biology (non-lab).
As registrar I was responsible for posting of grades, receiving and sending transcripts, in charge of graduation, and other general office duties.
As Director of Student Affairs my duties also included discipline and dormitory management.
I began the first 5 months as a substitute teacher but beginning in January 1987 I was hired as a temporary teacher for English and Journalism which included yearbook.
I then taught summer school mathematics and science for grades 9-12.
I was then hired on full time and teaching duties included physical science, physics, and environmental science.

I attended graduate school. I did not complete the program. I did complete 40 semester hours.
