Translational researcher on HIV and HCV infection. Over the past 7 years I have acquired a broad expertise on viral infectious diseases. I have proven experience on studying virological and immunological impact of different pharmacological strategies on HIV and HCV infected patients. I have collaborated and coordinated a significant number of clinical studies with national and international research groups. I have authored more than 20 publications, with 5 as the lead author. Currently, as postdoctoral fellow at MGH-HMS, I am investigating T cell immune restoration on HIV and HCV patients receiving new antiviral drugs. Elucidating the critical role of T cell in controlling HCV is critical for better understanding in the development of a protective HCV vaccine. I am looking forward to lead ambitious, innovative and promising R&D projects aiming to change the live of patients.
