I then was trained in the use of Remington Shotguns, side arm 357 revolvers and Oleoresin Capsicum.

Additionally I was trained as a Special Operation Response Team (SORT) member. This team is used for riots, disturbances, hostages, cell insertions and cell extractions. Also SORT is for transportation of inmates to courts in the state of Maryland and hospital visits. Occasional the team is used for court ordered funeral services. While inside the jail the following was also conducted

In my tenure as a soldier I have received many awards and letter os appreciation, Most notable are my campaign awards for Operation Urgent Fury. This was an invasion on the Island of Grenada in 1983. At this time i was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg NC. The mission was a success for freeing the college student who were taken hostage. I received my first combat patch for a combat operation. Next was the assignment to Berlin Brigade Berlin Germany, 110 miles behind communist lines. I received the Army of Occupation campaign medal. Also i was with the Brigade before and after the Berlin Wall. I was on detail in Berlin Germany, when then President Ronald Reagan gave the speech and said this. Mr Mikhail Gorbachev Tear down this wall. Shortly there after the Berlin Wall fell with communism. Then Germany was reunified.

Shortly there after I was deployed to Operation Desert Shield, which became Operation Desert Storm. For this I received the Kuwait Liberation medal and the National Defense medal.

As a member of the Metropolitan Police DC I have numerous award and decorations. I was apart of the Crime Reduction Patrol Sevice Area for the Year and received and medal. Also I received with my unit Vice Unit of the Year and receive a metal. Over 20 years of awards and accomadations for sevice.
