My prior military experience as a non-commisioned officer has enabled me to cultivate personal characteristics such as integrity, dependability, honor and commitment into a leadership style which has been effective throughout my professional career.
2004-2017- Served as a mentor and leader while a Physician Assistant to junior practitioners during the on boarding processes, hiring processes and evaluations.
2017- Elected by my peers to act as the C.E.O. for our final capstone project in MBA program. Leading a team of MBA students though a 2 month business simulation.
1995-1997- Assistant Leading Petty Officer (Pensacola, FL) tasked with supervising subordinates in a military setting, oversaw the budgeting and ordering of surgical/clinical supplies for ENT clinic. Participated in peer reviews and disciplinary recommendations.
1994- Selected to be the Leading Petty Officer, in charge of supervising my fellow military members while attending surgical technologist schooling. Chosen as class leader by peers and instructors for my abilities to lead a medical team. Also class valedictorian and "honor graduate".
1992- Awarded the distinction of "Honor Graduate" for my basic training class 02592 (only recipient of nearly 100 recruits in my company), as an acknowledgement of my outstanding leadership qualities as section leader and dedication to duty.
