My training in the Army landed me a variety of different leadership roles. During those experiences I noted that each person needs clear expectations for their role in the group. They need to know their purpose and what they're supposed to do. I believe that students also need to have a clear understanding of what is expected of them. I use student demonstration to give a detailed explanation of the procedures for each activity and challenge. Another thing I noticed is that the more that people are left idle the more problems occur. This is why I work very hard to get every student actively engaged. In this way they cannot get themselves in trouble.

Wrestling- I have a vested, deep-rooted interest in wrestling which led me to become a coach for a local youth wrestling team. I believe it is a sport that can build character, instill values, develop toughness and perseverance, and teach many life lessons.
Weight Lifting- Lifting weights is a huge passion of mine, and i dedicate quite a bit of time to it. I go to the gym at least 5 days a week working every major muscle group.
Avid Kayaker- I kayak quite frequently throughout the summer several different bodies of water.
